May 3 – Author event and afternoon tea, 2 pm at the Blackwood library, South Australia, with catering by the Happy Valley CWA. Bookings essential.

May 14 – 2026 Alexandrina Heritage Awards, with Liz as guest speaker. A South Australia’s History Festival event. Bookings essential.

May 17 – Rations for Sixty, Macclesfield SA, 10 am to 2 pm. A special South Australia’s History Festival event presented by Macclesfield RSL volunteers. Learn about World War One recipes, and view a reconstruction of an Aldershot field oven in action. Try your hand at baking savoury scones under the watchful eye of former Army cook SGT Bill Gunter, and taste an army stew made using a recipe from Trooper Howard Fry’s handwritten army recipe book. Community food historian Liz Harfull and sub-branch president Denis Oldenhove will be giving brief presentations during the day. More information.

May 23 and 24 – Special guest at the Litchfield Rural Show (former Fred’s Pass Rural Show), Northern Territory.

May 25 – Book signing at The Bookshop, Darwin, Northern Territory, 11 am to 1 pm.

May 30 – Special guest speaker at a gathering of the Australian Church Libraries Association, Adelaide.

June 9 – Author event at the Mount Barker Library, SA (Details TBC).
